Walking on a very hot summer’s day, when the sun was high and baking the earth, I gratefully wandered into a shaded wooded area and came across this glorious sight. Light streamed through the trees and danced on a cool glade; the air was fresh, and the play of colours on the surface of the water was mesmerising.

Dappled Summer Glade was exhibited as part of The Old Lock Up Gallery, Cromford’s 2024 exhibition ‘Ordinary’ and was sold during this show.
